The Lodge at Winadu

The Lodge at Winadu is Lakeside Retreats' year-round meeting and activity space. The Lodge provides an intimate setting for all types of meetings, seminars, and retreats. in the heart of Berkshires ski country, it also can be used as a home base for a Massachusetts ski trip. The fully winterized, 3,700 square foot building sleeps up to 65 overnight guests and is located on our Winadu property in the southern Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts, less than a 3-hour drive from NYC and Boston.

From NYC Metro Area
Take the Taconic State Parkway North to Rte. 295E Chatham Exit. (Last exit before toll.) At exit stop sign, turn left and then turn right onto Rte. 295E. Follow Rte. 295E until it ends (approximately 11 miles.) Turn left onto Rte. 41. Follow Rte. 41 to the end. Turn right onto Rte. 20. Follow Rte. 20 approximately I & I/2 miles, look for a sign to Berkshire Community College on the right. Turn left at Hungerford Street, bearing left (onto Forthill) where it forks. Follow Forthill to the end. Turn left onto West Street. Follow West Street approximately 2/1O of a mile and turn right onto Churchill Street. Camp Winadu is approximately 2 miles on your right.

Getting to the Taconic State Parkway:

From Manhattan: Take the West Side Highway North, to the Henry Hudson Parkway North, to the Saw Mill River Parkway North. Exit at the Taconic State Parkway North - Albany. From this point follow the above directions.

From Long Island: Take the Whitestone Bridge to the Hutchinson River Parkway North. Take Rte. 684N towards Brewster. Take Rte. 84W towards Newburgh, approximately 15 miles, to the Taconic State Parkway North -Albany. From this point follow the above directions.

From New Jersey: Take the George Washington Bridge to the Henry Hudson Parkway North, to the Saw Mill River Parkway North. Exit at the Taconic State Parkway North - Albany. From this point follow the above directions.

From Albany Airport
Take 87S to Exit 1E (Rte. 90 towards Boston.) Take Rte. 90E to Rte. 2OE exit (Nassau/East Greenbush.) Take Rte. 2OE into Massachusetts. Pass Rte. 41 and approximately 1-1/2 miles further look for a sign to Berkshire Community College on the right. Turn left at Hungerford Street, bearing left (onto Forthill) where it forks. Follow Forthill to the end. Turn left onto West Street. Follow West Street 2/10 of a mile and turn right onto Churchill Street. Camp Winadu is approximately 2 miles on your right.

From Boston
Route 90W (Mass Turnpike) to Exit 2, Rtes. 7 & 20N to Lenox, Lee and Pittsfield. Take Rtes. 7 & 20N, following signs to Pittsfield. You will arrive at a traffic circle (this is the center of Pittsfield.) Follow the traffic circle 3/4 of the way around counterclockwise, you will be on West Street. (The Crowne Plaza Hotel will be on your left at all times.) Pass thru the traffic light at the circle and also go through the next light. Continue to a stop sign and turn left. (This is still West Street.) Follow West Street approximately 2 miles and turn right onto Churchill Street. Camp Winadu is 2 miles on your right.

From Bradley Airport
Take Rte. 91N to Mass Turnpike (Rte. 90) and head West. From this point, follow Boston directions above.
